1923 Ty Cobb Original TYPE I photo Used for 1960 Fleer Baseball CARD PSA

Offered is this fresh to the hobby, original 8” x 10” photograph that has been authenticated by PSA as a TYPE I photo. This photo was taken in 1923 during the first year at Yankee Stadium. . Up close and personal, Cobb has his arm back and is ready to throw during his warm-up routine. With his back facing the camera, you can get a good glimpse at the back of his numberless uniform, belt buckle, and even the flap and button on the rear pocket.

Original Wide World Photo stamp on the back of the photo. One can see some waviness in the scan of the photo on the left side (as the scanner picks up pretty much every flaw known to man). However, in-person and under PSA encapsulation, this is barely noticeable. Crystal clear shot and one of Cobb’s finest.

This image was used by the Fleer for production of their Ty Cobb card in the 1960 Fleer baseball card set.

*Note* We’ve included a stock image of the Fleer baseball card, but the card is not included.
