1936 Detroit Lions vs. College All-Stars NFL Football Program Loaded with HOFers

From 1934 to 1976 (with the exception of 1974) the best collegiate players from around the country played the NFL champs from the previous season in what was known as the College All-Star Football Classic. The game was the idea of Chicago sports writer Arch Ward, who also was the originator of the American League versus National League baseball all star game. The games were sponsored by the Chicago Tribune with proceeds going to charity.

Offered is an official program from the 3rd College All-Stars vs NFL champs ever.  The program is in decent condition.  Tight binding, no writing, no missing pages or cut outs.  Features tons of photos of the players and biographical info.

Wayne Milner, First Heisman Winner – Jay Berwanger, Bill Shakespeare,  Joe Stydahar, Tuffy Leemans, Watler Cruice, Frank Layden, Wally Fromhart, Eddie Erdlatz, Gomer Jones, Dan Fortmann, and Buddy Parker are featured for the College All-Stars.  Chock full of Pro and College Football Hall Of Famers.

The game would end in a 7-7 tie.  Historic!!!!
