1950 Cleveland Browns Future Pro Football HOFer – Len Ford Original TYPE 1 photo PSA LOA

Very impressive 1950 photograph of "new" Cleveland Browns player Len Ford who had come over from the LA Dons when the AAFC folded after the 1949 season. Ford was undrafted out of Morgan State and was picked up for 1948-49 by the Dons and did well. When he caught on with the Browns, he would transform the position of Defensive End with a combination of size and speed that would fit well into today's game, but were absolutely unheard of in 1950! Ford was such a great athlete that he played Basketball for the famous Harlem Rens during his offseason. Ford played only eight years in the NFL and only a few images of his surface from time to time for collectors.

Offered is a crystal clear original 8x10 photo issued by the Cleveland Browns (stamped on back) along with the Cleveland News Reference Department stamp and stamped dated from 1950.
