Deacon Jones was one of the most ferocious Defensive Linemen to play in the NFL in the 1960’s. He was the key component of the L.A. Rams’ Fearsome Foursome.
Offered is an original 8” x 10” photo taken by Rams official photographer, Vic Stein (stamped on back) that was part of the photo shoot that eventually produced the 1966 Philly Gum Football card (this was not the final shot used for the card but appears to be taken on the same day). NOTE – CARD shown is used as an exemplar and is not included.
This photo originally came out of his estate as it is personalized “To Mother & Dad Best Wishes Deacon Jones L.A. Rams.” In blue ballpoint ink.
