1987 Michael Jordan 1st Career Scoring Title Ticket Stub Celtics vs Bulls PSA Pop 1

The Chicago Bulls played the last game of the NBA regular season on April 17, 1987 in Boston vs the Celtics.  The hometown Boston Celtics would win the game 108-107. Larry Bird hit 38 points, while Kevin McHale hit a double double with 22 points and 14 total rebounds as did Robert Parish with 14/14.  Go figure all 3 would end up enshrined in the Naismith Basketball HOF.

On the losing end, Michael Jordan had 17 points, after scoring his career high of 61 points the night before to become only the second player in NBA history to crash the 3000 point single season club.  The only other player to accomplish this feat, was Wilt Chamberlain (who did it 4 times).  To this day, no other player has entered this next to impossible club.

On this night, MJ would win his first NBA scoring title (MJ holds the record for most scoring titles at 10).

Historic ticket as MJ would finish the regular season on this night 3041 points.  It would only take him 3 seasons to hit this goal (he would never do it again).

This historic ticket stub was graded by PSA as AUTHENTIC and is the only one in their pop report. 1 of 1
