Babe Ruth & Photographer Bob Alderson On Airplane 1948 Autographed Original TYPE 1 Photo

One of the more interesting photos we’ve encountered of the Babe. This original 8x10 photograph shows Babe Ruth on July 14, 1948 at the end of his life on an airplane (we’ve never seen another shot of Ruth on a plane, as air travel was still new to non-military folks). This photo shows the Babe posing with photographer, Bob Alderson (see our other Ruth photos) that was taken by Babe Ruth’s male nurse, Frank Delaney.
Alderson signed and wrote in black steel tipped pen, “Frank – you are some photographer! When you took this we were out over the Atlantic enroute to Baltimore from New York 7-14-48. Regards – Bob Alderson.
On the back of the photo, in Dulaney’s hand, he captioned the photo.
