Danny Frisella -(D. 1977 at age 30) was a professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1967-1976, mostly as a relief pitcher. He would play for the New York Mets (1969 team), Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers. Frisella's career was cut short when he was killed in a dune buggy accident

Frank Edwin "Tug" McGraw, Jr. (d 2004) was a Major League Baseball relief pitcher and the father of country music singer Tim McGraw and actor and television personalities Mark McGraw, Cari McGraw, and Matthew McGraw. He is likely best remembered for recording the final out, via a strikeout of the Kansas City Royal’s Willie Wilson, in the 1980 World Series, bringing the Philadelphia Phillies their first world championship. He was the last active major league player to have played under manager Casey Stengel.
