| Toporcer(D) played from 1921 through 1928 for the St. Louis Cardinals. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He's widely considered as the first major league baseball position player to wear eyeglasses on the playing field. Up until 1921, only pitchers dared wear glasses during games.
