January 24, 1970 Milwaukee Bucks vs Cincinnati Royals Ticket Stub Lew Alcindor Rookie Year 28 pts

Considered by many basketball historians to be amongst the Top 5 players to ever step onto the court, Kareem Abdul Jabbar (i.e. Lew Alcindor) rookie tickets are very rarely seen.

This ticket stub is from January 24, 1970, the Bucks played at home for a sellout crowd against the Cincinnati Royals.  The Bucks would win their 3rd game in a row (8 out of the last 9 games) and win by a score of 125-109 over the Royals.

Leading the Bucks with 33 points was guard, Flynn Robinson with 33, Alcindor (as Kareem was known at the time) had 28 points with 15 rebounds, HOFer – Bobby Dandridge with 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Greg Smith had 18 points and 8 rebounds.

In a losing effort, Tom Van Arsdale put in 25 points, Dierking with 16, and the Big O – Oscar Robertson had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists (almost recording a triple double).  Oscar would team up with Kareem the following season.

Very rare!!!
