This is a signed album page from the 1959-60 season of St Louis players including some real tough to find autographs! This is the team that went all the way to the NBA Championship game only to lose to the mighty Boston Celtics. The following signatures are included:

  • Larry Foust (d 1984) scored the winning basket in a 19-18 Pistons victory over the Minneapolis Lakers in 1950 which was the lowest scoring game in NBA history. Foust later joined the Lakers in 1957, and he also spent two-and-a-half seasons with the St. Louis Hawks. 8x All-Star.
  • Cliff Hagan, nicknamed "Li'l Abner," played his entire 10-year NBA career (1956–1966) with the St. Louis Hawks. He was also a player-coach for the Dallas Chaparrals in the first two-plus years of the American Basketball Association's existence (1967–1970). NBA champ in 1958. 5x All-Star. NCAA champ in 1951 with Kentucky. Member of the HOF. -Irv Gack (D. 2002) was a business executive for the St. Louis/Atlanta Hawks from 1959 to 1974.
  • Bob Ferry played ten seasons in the NBA with the Hawks, Detroit Pistons and Baltimore Bullets.
  • Ben Kerner (D. 2000) was the Hawks owner from 1949-60. He is a strong candidate for inclusion in the Basketball HOF. His autograph is rarely offered & his wife, Mrs H Kerner also signed the page
  • John McCarthy played a total of six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA)—two for the Royals, three for the St. Louis Hawks, and one for the Boston Celtics. He won an NBA championship with the Celtics in 1964.
  • Jim Butler (D. 2003) was an announcer for the Hawks and later the St. Louis Cardinals.
