Zamperini was a track star, war hero, and incredible story of redemption. Louis Zamperini lived what can only be described as one of the most unbelievable tales of survival and human resolve in modern times. Issued by Acme and with a full paper caption on the back as well, this is a wonderful image from several years before he would enter into the War. This 7x9 original ACME NEWS photo features the original paper caption and stampings on the back. Caption is dated 4/8/39 and the news reference stamp read 4-18-39.
