First to be named All-NFL with two teams - 1933, 1934, 1936 Bears, 1937 Eagles.  Hewitt was famous for a super-quick defensive charge. He was fast, elusive, innovative on offense by his Invention of many trick plays to fool the opposition.  Bill was the middle man on forward-lateral that gave the Chicago Bears the 1933 NFL title.  He was considered a wild man because he played without helmet until rules change forced use. Hewitt tragically died on January 14, 1947 in a car accident at the age of 37.

We feel extremely privileged to offer this 5” x 4.5” signed album page pulled from an autograph album that contained the signatures of the 1934 Chicago Bears football team.  We know this, as Albersheim’s originally sold this album page back in 2004 as well as the rest of the autograph album.

Hewitt is considered one of the TOP 5 toughest Pro Football Hall of Fame autographs in existence.  This blue fountain pen signature would rate a perfect 10 and would be flawless specimen for matting and framing.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity as it might be another 10-12 years before something this nice comes up for sale again.
