1934 JOHN DILLINGER, "Captured in Crown Point Jail" Iconic Original TYPE I Photo

Offered is a 7" x  7.75" original 1934 photograph of John Dillinger posed at the Crown Point jail, taking time for a photo with Prosecuting Attorney, Robert Estill. At the time Dillinger was facing certain death for his crimes and it is no wonder he tried such a daring escape that ended up actually working and leading to one of the most famous moments in American crime! Dillinger would use a wooden gun painted black to get the real guns and keys from the jail's guard and get away, to the astonishment of the American public, making him both a cultural icon and villain at the same time. One of the most iconic and breathtaking images in American "Crime and Punishment" History, this was mounted for publication and the photo has some awesome artwork for publication making it a unique piece of photo-art. Condition and quality are both exceptional and this has a vintage stamp from 1934 on the back!
