1934 Walter Johnson Hospitalized While Managing the Cleveland Indians Original TYPE I Photo
Offered is an original TYPE 1 photo that measures 8” x 6” in size of Walter Johnson, who was then the manager of the Cleveland Indians laid up in the hospital with Pleurisy (which forced him out of action as manager during a period where the Indians were serious contenders for the pennant). Willie Kamm was named their interim manager. Original ACME Newspictures stamp on the back as well as the original paper caption.

Historic photo during a sad time in the Big Train’s life (he almost died from this).
