On August 9, 1960 Ted Williams hit his 511th Home Run, tying him for third place (at that moment in time) with Hall of Famer, Mel Ott on the All-Time Sluggers list off of Cleveland Indians pitcher, Jim Perry (brother of Gaylord Perry) in front of 8752 fans in Cleveland.  The Bo Sox would lose the game 6-3 with Perry getting the win to go 14-5 (Bill Monbouquette was on the losing end 12-9).

Tito Francona and Vic Power (career #85) would hit homers for the Indians on the winning end.
