1963 Jack Ruby Kills Lee Harvey Oswald Original Wire Photo

In what has become one of the defining moments of the 20th Century, Dallas Times-Herald photographer, Bob Jackson had no clue that he would wake up on that fateful morning and get the Pulitzer Prize winning shot as Dallas nightclub owner, Jack Ruby would assassinate Presidential killer, Lee Harvey Oswald just days after taking President, John F. Kennedy away from his family and the American people.

This photograph measures 7x8.5” in size.   Reverse features a variety of production markings alongside an original newspaper caption/image and red "PEOPLE" stamping. Mild handling wear exhibited. Also stamped 3 times on November 25, 1963 (one day after this most tragic event in U.S. history).  It appears that this photo was produced from a duplicate negative as this photograph pretty much ran in every newspaper in the country.
