In 1966, Wilt Chamberlain broke the NBA record for career points of 20,884 held by St. Louis Hawk forward Bob Petit. Offered is an original press photo that measures 6” x 9.5” of Wilt with an 8 foot trophy that was given to him by the NBA for breaking Petit’s record.
This photo has been stamped July 9 and 10th, 1968 and was published in the papers when he was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers on July 9, 1968 to the L.A. Lakers in exchange for Jerry Chambers, Archie Clark, and Darrall Imhoff.
