1973 Jim Bibby NO HITTER 13 K’s Historic Ticket Stub RARE Oakland A’s vs Rangers 7/30/1973

On July 30, 1973, Jim Bibby threw the first no-hitter in Texas Rangers franchise history, defeating the defending World Series champion Oakland Athletics 6-0 at the Oakland Coliseum. The 6-foot-5 right-hander relied primarily on his fastball, striking out 13 batters while walking six in the 148-pitch performance.

Shortstop Jim Fregosi and Pete Mackanin made crucial defensive plays to preserve the gem. Oakland's Reggie Jackson called it "the fastest ball I ever saw." Rangers owner Bob Short rewarded Bibby with a $5,000 raise immediately after the game.
