Early 1940s BASEBALL STARS MULTI-SIGNED BOOK ALBUM 80 + Autographs JSA LOA

3x5-1/8" spiral bound memo book housing over 80 baseball player autographs obtained during the 1940s (mostly 1941-43) at International League ball games. Clubs represented by multiple signatures are: Montreal, Newark, Toronto and Buffalo. Some super tough autographs of guys either on their way to the Major Leagues or on their way down.

Includes pretty much of the roster of the 1941 & 1942 Montreal Royals (Brooklyn Dodgers AAA team), Toronto Maple Leafs (Philadelphia Athletics), Buffalo Bisons (Detroit Tigers), and Newark Bears (New York Yankees).

Umpire – Roy Van Graflan (D. 1953) who was a Major League and Minor League umpire.  He worked in the American League from 1927-33 and was behind the plate in the 1932 World Series when Babe Ruth called his shot against Charlie Root.   He also umpired in the 1929 World Series.
