Frank Ryan & Art Modell Pro Football HOF signed AUTO 1963NFL Cleveland Browns Contract

Frank Ryan was a Quarterback drafted out of Rice University in 1958 by the Los Angeles Rams (1958–1961).  He also played for the Cleveland Browns (1962–1968) and Washington Redskins (1969–1970). He led the Browns to their most recent National Football League title in 1964. Ryan was also a mathematician, serving as a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University from 1967 to 1974.

He was the starting QB for the NFL Championship, 1964 Browns (he led the league in passing TD’s that year) and was a 3 x Pro Bowler (1964-66).

Art Modell (D. 2012) was an American businessman, entrepreneur and National Football League team owner. He owned the Cleveland Browns franchise for 35 years and established the Baltimore Ravens franchise, which he owned for nine years.  He was also the owner of the Browns for their 1964 Championship season and the Raves 2000 Super Bowl season.  He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame posthumously in 2013.

Offered is Frank Ryan’s personal 1963 NFL contract with the Cleveland Browns (derives from his personal collection) signed by both Frank Ryan and Art Modell. He received a $27,000 base salary.  Historic document!
