Grover Cleveland Alexander Signed AUTO 8x10 Photo Baseball HOF D.1950 JSA LOA

Grover Cleveland Alexander (D. 1950) Suffering from epilepsy, haunted by his experiences in combat during World War I and shadowed by the dark side of alcoholism, Grover Cleveland Alexander was able to win 373 games during a 20-year Major League career, the third-highest total in Major League history. He led the league in ERA on four occasions, wins in six different seasons, complete games six times and shutouts during seven campaigns. Alexander also won 30 or more games three consecutive seasons.

Offered is an 8x10 Photo showing Alexander in Cardinals uniform and dates to that period. Photo has been signed in blue ink by Alexander, who signs "To My Pal Harry E. Swisher - Best Of Luck - Grover C. Alexander - 1941."

Photo appears to be a TYPE 1 photograph dating to that 1926-29 period that he was with the Cardinals.  We can count on one hand how many signed photos that we’ve seen of Alexander over a 35 year period (not counting magazine or newspaper photos).  This in our opinion has to be one of the best out there!

Comes with an additional JSA LOA
