Bobby Layne played for 15 seasons in the National Football League. He played for the Chicago Bears in 1948, the New York Bulldogs in 1949, the Detroit Lions from 1950–1958, and the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1958–1962. He is a member of both the Pro and College Football Hall of Fame.
Offered is an original TYPE I 10x8 photo stamped November 14, 1948 and then used throughout the years (stamped through 1978). This photograph was used by the Chicago Sun Times and appeared in the newspaper before Layne’s debut against the Green Bay Packers in 1948.
