A Vintage 1960's ORIGINAL Photograph featuring Jim Morison of The Doors, legendary mystical blues-based rock group based around the dark poetry and shamanic presence of their charismatic frontman. The band rose to the center of the counterculture of the 1960s and were unique and among the most controversial and influential rock acts of the 1960s, mostly because of Morrison's lyrics and charismatic but unpredictable stage persona. Also seen in the photo is Doors bandmate, Robby Krieger on guitar. Krieger co-wrote many of the Doors’ songs, including, “Light My Fire”, “Love Me Two Times”, “Touch Me”, and “Love Her Madly”
The offered photo is a RARE vintage period 1960’s TYPE I original work from noted rock photographer Jeffrey Mayer. The reverse has credit stamp which has been crossed out but is present.
The photo has been authenticated by PSA/DNA as a period TYPE I exemplar and comes handsomely encapsulated in the company’s holder. Great shot of one of the most iconic and influential frontmen in rock music history in his famous leather outfit.
