Knute Rockne’s 1924 squad would record a perfect 10-0 record and bring Notre Dame their first National Championship in football. This is the team that featured the Four Horsemen.
This is an original Notre Dame yearbook, “The Dome,” which in itself is historically significant. However, this copy was owned by Harry B. Stillman who was a graduating senior that year. Stillman had the fortitude to go around and have his yearbook signed by important students on campus, many of whom included members of the football squad.
Some of the autographs in the book include: signatures from "Four Horsemen" Harry Stuhldreher & Don Miller (tear on his photo, but not touching the very rare signature), Harvey Brown (captain of the team), Frank Reese (kicker), Timothy Murphy, and Robert Regan. In over 30 years in the hobby, we’d confidently say that Don Miller is the scarcest of all the Four Horsemen autographs.
Fantastic item!
