The 1933 Washington Senators was a season in American baseball. They won 99 games, lost 53, and finished in first place in the American League. It was the third and final pennant of the franchise while based in Washington. The team was managed by Joe Cronin and played home games at Griffith Stadium. They lost the best-of-seven World Series in 5 games to the New York Giants.

Offered is a gorgeous original TYPE I Photograph that measures 7 x 9 inches of the 1933 American League Championship, Washington Senators baseball team. Stamped on the back twice from September 26-27, 1933.  Associated Press original paper caption attached as well.  Features Hall of Famers, Joe Cronin, Goose Goslin, Heinie Manush, Clark Griffith(owner), and Sam Rice. Incredible crystal clear clarity.

Most importantly, this features Baseball Spy, Moe Berg, who would join the 1934 Tour of Japan baseball tour.  His reconnaissance during this tour was instrumental for the United States in fighting against Japan during WW II.
