Eddie Michaels (D. 1976 at the age of 61) was an American football guard who played in the National Football League (NFL) for teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, and in the CFL (Canadian Football League).
Michaels was selected in the second round of the 1936 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He played for the Bears in 1936 and the Washington Redskins in 1937, contributing to the Redskins' NFL Championship that year.
During World War II, due to player shortages, the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers merged to form the "Steagles" in 1943, with Michaels as a team member. He continued with the Eagles from 1944 to 1946. Notably, Michaels was classified as 4-F and exempt from military service because he was nearly deaf.
After his NFL career, Michaels played for the Ottawa Rough Riders in Canada from 1948 to 1950.
