On September 28, 1949, at the Polo Grounds in New York, World Middleweight Champion Jake LaMotta was scheduled to make his first title defense against the man he won the crown from, Marcel Cerdan. The fight was postponed, then cancelled for good when Cerdan was killed in an airplane crash en route to New York. Offered here is an original, full ticket for the postponed fight. This original, full ticket names the fighters, date and venue. Creased with surface and edge wear. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. 2.5x6.75". An historic full ticket from a fight that couldn't happen.
