In front of a crowd of 9853 fans at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, the Reds would exact their revenge from the previous day’s loss on the back of pitcher, Joe Nuxhall (who would take his record to 6-3) over Jim Hughes by a score of 5-4.

The game seemed to be a defensive error filled day.  Jackie Robinson went 1 for 5, Duke Snider went 2 for 5, with one run. 

Rookie, Sandy Amoros was the bright spot of the day for Brooklyn, going 2 for 4.  He hit his Career Home Run #3 and a double.  He also brought in 3 runs (3 RBI’s)
