This rare artifact is a vintage sign once posted outside of the umpire’s locker room in Wrigley Field (Chicago) pertaining to "No Visitors" per "National League Rule 8.1..." and outlines with specificity Umpire’s Dressing Room visitation rules. The sign spells out clearly that unless you were an Umpire, League officer, or clubhouse attendant assigned to the umpire’s room, you better not enter. It’s signed in facsimile "By Direction of National League, Charles S. Feeney, President."

During his 17-year term, the National League only lost the All-Star Game twice against the American League. Considered a traditionalist, Feeney protected the National League from adopting the designated hitter rule implemented by the American League. His firm approach to directing the National League is apparent in these tough rules as well. This heavy cardboard stock Broadside sign measures 9 X 11.5 inches. Great display piece!
