Dale Murphy was a standout outfielder and first baseman who played in Major League Baseball from 1976 to 1993. Spending most of his career with the Atlanta Braves, he won two NL MVP awards (1982, 1983) and was a seven-time All-Star. Murphy also earned five Gold Gloves and four Silver Slugger Awards, showcasing his all-around talent. He hit 398 home runs and drove in 1,266 RBIs, finishing with a .265 batting average. Known for his leadership and sportsmanship, Murphy remains one of the most respected players in Braves history, with his No. 3 jersey retired by the team.
