Munson’s career was cut short by a plane crash. He is the only Yankee to be awarded both the Rookie of the Year and MVP honors. In his abbreviated career, he led his team to Two World Series Championships and one Pennant. Munson died while flying his private plane on August 2, 1979.
Offered is his 1975 Topps baseball card that Munson has signed in blue ballpoint, which gave him a 4 year window of opportunity to sign. The card would grade EX Plus Condition. The signature rates a 7.5 – 8/10. This has been encapsulated authentic by PSA/DNA.
