Charles M. Schulz - was an American cartoonist, best known for the comic strip
Peanuts (which featured the characters Snoopy and Charlie Brown among others). He’s widely regarded as one of the most influential cartoonists of all time, cited as a major influence by many later cartoonists.
Offered is an original vintage pencil drawing of Charlie Brown on 4” x 6” paper [unsigned]. This was a prototype sketch Schultz did for a Butternut Bread advertising campaign and shows Charlie Brown, sandwich in hand, with the following quote: “Eating (Unreadable) bread will help you to get better marks…in lunch!” This piece is accompanied by high-quality reproductions of five other sketches from the original group. Original and unpublished Schultz material is extremely sought after and rarely offered!
The first image below on the left(Charlie Brown eating) is the original drawing the other two images are the copies.
Letter of Authenticity from Richard Albersheim.
