This original photo shows Dodger’s pitcher Don Newcombe posing with Japanese players from the Yomiuri Giants, Takehiko Bettsho and Horiguchi. Bettsho was a 2 x Central League MVP and 2 x Japanese World Series MVP. He is also a member of the Japanese Baseball HOF. This photo was taken before a series of games between the teams in which the Giants had their way with Newcombe. Historic!
