Offered is a set that is FRESH to the market and comes from the same collection as the 1955 Bowman, 1956 Topps, and 1958 Topps football sets that have been signed and offered in this auction. An enterprising collector in the San Francisco Bay area obtained all of these autographs in person at Candlestick Park. Unlike many suspect autographed cards that are often found in the market, we feel that with 100% certainty that everything was signed in-person and not done by the stroke of a forger’s hand. If you’re looking for a vintage signed set that was done during the player’s career, this is the set for you.

Offered is the set of 154 cards and an extra Bonus Checklist Short Print – Twin Balony included A total of 122 cards have been autographed and encapsulated by PSA/DNA as authentic. Note 2 cards are signed (in addition to the 122), but were traced over at some point while the collector was still a kid. These include #65 Art Donovan and #138 Johnny Unitas. The unsigned cards in the set are included with the set. This is a nice looking set.

Highlights include HOFers:

Mike McCormack, Gino Marchetti, Leo Nomellini, Les Richter, Roosevelt Brown, Jack Butler (rookie), John Henry Johnson, Bob St. Clair), Lou Creekmur, Norm Van Brocklin (D. 1983), Ollie Matson, Lou Groza, YA Tittle, George Blanda, Bobby Layne (D. 1986), Emlen Tunnell (D. 1975), Chuck Bednarik, Yale Lary (rookie), Andy Robustelli, Dick Night Train Lane (rookie), Frank Gifford, Ernie Stautner, Raymond Berry (rookie), Hugh McElhenny, Stan Jones, Jack Christiansen (D. 1986), Bart Starr (rookie), Lenny Moore, Joe Perry, Len Ford (D. 1972) KEY CARD, Paul Hornung (rookie).

This is the first and most complete signed ’57 Topps football that has ever been offered for public auction! We estimate the value of this set $12,500 – 17,500.

Feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to send a detailed spread sheet of all the signed and unsigned cards.
