Robert Byrne was a third baseman in the big leagues from 1907-1917 for the Cardinals, Pirates, Phillies, and White Sox. He was known as a dynamo with the glove. He was an all-around athlete, as he played professional soccer before being made to give it up by the Pirates ownership.
Offered is a 1911 Gold Border T205 with the Polar Bear back version of Byrnes tobacco card. Graded by PSA a 4 VG-EX. Polar Bear backs are much rarer than the regular version of the card. Nice color and details.
