Customer Testimonials

It had been several years since the passing of my father.  We had several items relating to his time playing college basketball and professionally. Rich was the consummate professional.  He made us an offer backed up by facts and auction prices and I feel that we made a very fair deal.  My husband and I bought a much needed truck from the proceeds.  Thank you for treating us fairly.

I’ve been buying from Albersheim’s for years going back to the mid-90’s.  I’m always amazed with the type of autographs that he finds and offers for sale.  I never worry about whether I’m buying something on the up and up.  Rich is probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the business, if not the MOST knowledgeable.

We had been talking to Richard for several years and were never really ready to depart with any of Dad’s mementos.  He was always polite and never pushy.  We just kept in touch.  To make a long story short, my husband and I were getting older and starting to develop some health problems.  We decided to downsize and gave Richard a call.   We’re glad we did.  He actually cares about baseball history.

I have known Rich Albersheim for approximately 15 years and have always found him to be one of the most straight forward no-nonsense people in this business.  His thirst for knowledge and explicit attention to detail would hold up against pretty much anyone in the sports memorabilia community.  It came as no surprise to me that he called upon me for my opinion back in January of this year regarding the stitching of numbers on some early 1950’s football jerseys.   Most so called experts in this industry would like to think they know everything and don’t seek outside counsel.  Rich has no problem seeking a second opinion and often time’s a third or fourth opinion to make sure his acquisitions are on the up and up.

After we were finished discussing the question in hand, he asked me if I had ever thought about selling my collection.  He then explained to me that he was taking a hiatus from running his thriving auction house to concentrate on getting back to his roots of chasing rare memorabilia and the buying and selling aspect of this business.  I basically told Rich that if someone made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, I’d sell; otherwise I’d pass my collection down to my kids.

After about a month, Rich persuaded me to consider letting him broker my collection.  I knew I could sell it myself, but I told him that he could sell it under the one condition that there would be no hassles or headaches.  This was not to be a long drawn out negotiation.  I also didn’t want to sell my collection through auction or piece by piece.  If I was going to sell it, I wanted to divest myself, lock, stock, and barrel.

Rich, not only delivered, but he found a buyer for my collection and I received a 7 figure payout which will help financially secure my wife and I and the next generation of Hott’s.  The process went smoothly and Rich was an excellent communicator throughout this entire process.

In closing, I would recommend Rich Albersheim to broker your collection as he has the contacts as well as the knowledge to help secure you a fair price for your collection.

I got a chance to know Richard throughout this deal and felt that he delivered everything promised.

His professionalism and ability to act as a counter balance to both parties was crucial in getting this seven figure deal done.  I would highly recommend Richard Albersheim’s services in brokering any collection in the future.

When I got a call from Rich asking me if I ever considered selling my Super Bowl ring, I thought to myself, “Who is this crazy guy on the other end of the phone?”

After talking to him for 10 minutes, I realized that this guy knows what he’s talking about.  I’ve got 3 kids and one left who I have to put through college.  I realized that I can’t divide my ring by 3 and my ring sits in a safe deposit box; worn maybe once a year.

He had a client that he brokered the ring discreetly and privately and got me auction type of money.

Rich paid right away and I have to say that I was very pleased.

If you’re going to do business, Rich is the man.

Former NFL Pro Bowler

I had a bunch of unopened wax boxes and baseball cards from the 1960’s through the 80’s that I collected as a kid and through adulthood.  They had been sitting in storage for years.  I emailed Rich with a list after finding him on the internet.

I was pleasantly surprised.  I did better than if I would have sold this stuff myself on ebay!

I don’t know how Rich knows everything he does.  He knew more about my career than I even remembered.  He was buying stuff from me that I didn’t even know had any value.  It was just collecting dust and was exposed to the elements sitting in my garage and attic.

This wasn’t something you see on that tv show “Pickers.”

Rich flew in to see me and with the money he paid me for what I thought was mostly junk with the exception of a few of my things; I was able to put a small addition onto my house.

I’d recommend him to anyone looking to get PAID and get a fair deal!

Former NBA basketball player

All, I have to say is wow! When Mr. Albersheim called and got ahold of my wife; I thought that this had to be a crank call.  My Dad had worked in Hollywood for years as an actor and also as a director and producer.  We had a storage unit full of stuff that I was wondering why we kept all of this stuff.  My kids had no interest in what seemed like a mountain of boxes, scrapbooks, awards, letters, etc.

After making an appointment to meet him, I knew this guy was the real deal.  Mr. Albersheim gave us more money than I’d spend on the next 50 years of keeping this stuff in storage.  Life’s too short.

Thanks for that call that I initially thought was someone pulling my leg.  Mr. Albersheim Delivers!

Rich gets the best stuff and I never worry about whether its real or fake! Great stuff! Great prices!

I have a very  focused collection of New York Yankees autographs.  Rich found me autographs of players that I’d been looking for 25 years and couldn’t find.  These weren’t just any scrap papers or stuff that who knows whether I’m buying the real deal or not.  He came up with letters, checks, contracts.  Wow!

Thanks Rich!

My father played football at Notre Dame under Knute Rockne.  His artifacts had been just sitting in our attic.  It was time to sell.  Rich treated me like family and really knew his football history.  Glad it went to a fantastic caretaker.  He was also very generous in his payment.

Daughter of former College football player and Coach

I had a collection of several hundred autographed baseballs from the course of my Major League and Minor League career that I’d be lugging around the country for over 50 years.  Every time, I moved it was a real pain in the butt.  I realized I hadn’t even bothered to look at them in over 20 years.  I wish I had met him 20 years ago; it would have been a no-brainer to sell to him.  Albersheim’s paid me me  10 times more money than any other dealer offer that I received.
