1947-48 Joe Lapchick Basketball Rules Playing a Winning Game Promotional Book Publication
In 1936, the Kinney's shoe store became one of the first shoe companies to use a sports star to promote their sneakers. Joe Lapchick who had been a professional basketball player for the Original Celtics for 12 years was asked to devise a list for specifications for basketball sneakers and to endorse the finished product.
