On July 26, 1948 Babe Ruth makes his final public NYC appearance at the New York premiere of The Babe Ruth Story. He would pass away from throat cancer three weeks later. In this original 8x10 original TYPE 1 photo, shows Babe Ruth all smiles arriving at the World Premiere of the Babe Ruth Story biopic with his nurse, Frank Dulaney carrying a suitcase (probably with medical supplies) talking right behind the Babe, as the Bambino perhaps gives his last tip of the cap to fans.
Stamped on the back by photographer, Bob Alderson who shadowed the Babe in his final days!
