Albersheim's 2015 November Auction

Johnny Podres (D. 2008) spent most of his career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. He is perhaps best remembered for being named the Most Valuable Player of the 1955 World Series, pitching a shutout in Game 7 against the New York Yankees to help bring the Dodgers their only World Series title in Brooklyn before their move to Los Angeles after the 1957 season.
Offered is Rawlings Johnny Podres Signature Model Glove (R 600). We believe this to be a 1960's or 70's model glove. The glove is in EX-NR MT condition. The original owner neatly wrote his name on the glove that is unobtrusive unless you are a serious glove stickler. The BEST part about the glove is that Podres has actually autographed the glove on the inside of the finger, “Johnny Podres 1955 W.S. MVP.”
We’ve seen plenty of single signed baseballs, but this is the first hand signed glove we’ve ever seen!
