1960 Philadelphia Warriors vs. Detroit Pistons Basketball Program Wilt Chamberlain Scores 58 points

On January 25, 1960 the Philadelphia Warriors would beat the Detroit Pistons 127-117 in front of a crowd of 3800 fans in Memorial Gymnasium in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  This was Wilt Chamberlain’s rookie year and he did not disappoint the sell out crowed. He put up a personal best of 58 points (his highest point total of his NBA career until that point) as well as the new season high for the NBA. Wilt also put up 24 field goals and went 10 for 13 in foul shots. On top of that, he had 42 rebounds.

Helping Chamberlain in the Warriors victory were teammates, Woody Sauldsberry and Andy Johnson (both former Harlem Globetrotters).  In the Pistons losing effort, Gene Sue had 24, Chuck Noble 18, and Ed Conlin shot 17.

Historic program features an original newspaper clipping stapled inside the program, fully scored, no missing pages or rips, slight splitting about ½ an inch on the lower spine.  3 hole punch which would possibly indicate that this may have been part of a sportwriter's collection. Otherwise, great testament to this historic game!!!
