1960 Philadelphia Warriors vs. Syracuse Nationals Basketball Program Wilt Chamberlain 45 PTS / 28 Rebounds

On January 17, 1960 the Philadelphia Warriors hosted the Syracuse Nationals at Convention Hall.  The Nationals handed the Warriors a 106-107 loss. Despite missing 18 foul shots, Wilt Chamberlain put up 45 points that night.  Dolph Schayes scolded Wilt’s skill set during post-game interviews.

In this doubleheader, the St. Louis Hawks beat the Detroit Pistons 1120105.  Bob Pettit, Clyde Lovelette, and Cliff Hagan scored 26 points for the Hawks.  Gene Shue led Detroit with 25 points.
