Offered is this 8x10 photo showing Larry Bird sitting on the Bench with the original paper caption attached to the back (it has been folded up). You can see that it was dated March 7, 1979. Bird had just been named to his second All-American Team (top vote getter). The Sycamores would have a dream season, playing in the National Championship game on March 26, 1979 against Magic Johnson’s Michigan State Spartans. Although, they wouldn’t prevail, Larry would end up being the #1 overall NBA draft pick a few months later.
