Backed up by Sam Perkins, Brad Daugherty and Kenny Smith, Michael Jordan's Tar Heels were a dominant force in the slaughtering of Dartmouth by a score of 103-58. New York Times photographer Steve Murray nicely centered #23 in a dynamic passing play with two onlooking players nearby. As Jordan watches the skyward arc of the ball in his UNC home white uniform at Carmichael Auditorium, it's easy to start thinking about "The Shot" that Jordan drained to win the 1982 NCAA championship. A New York Times stamp, news-clipping caption, and typed caption occupy the reverse.
