Super Bowl XXV was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Buffalo Bills and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion New York Giants to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1990 season. The Giants defeated the Bills by the score of 20–19, winning their second Super Bowl. It is the only Super Bowl decided by one point. The game is best remembered for Bills placekicker Scott Norwood's last-second field goal attempt which went wide right of the uprights, leading to a Giants victory, and starting a four-game losing streak in the Super Bowl for the Bills.
Offered is a size 11 AFC Championship from the Bill’s first Super Bowl appearance. The face of the ring features a red stone with a singular CZ laid on top surrounded by 16 smaller CZs surrounding the red centerpiece. The year 1990 and BUFFALO BILLS – AFC CHAMPIONSHIP surround the inner face of the ring. One side shank reads 1990 in raised gold letters with the Superbowl XXV log below. On the other shank displays the KELLY nameplate after their leader, HOF Quarterback, Jim Kelly along with the Bills helmet logo and 15-4.
Marked on the inner bank is “Property of Jostens not for resale and 10k.” Rings weighs 42.2 grams.
As far as we know, this is only the 2nd salesman sample rings to come to auction and almost no actual player or front office rings have ever been offered for sale.
