Albersheim's 2015 November Auction

The 1993 World Series pitted the defending champions Toronto Blue Jays of the American League against the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies. With Toronto ahead three games to two in the Series, Joe Carter hit a game-winning three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 6 to win the series for Toronto and their second consecutive championship (the first repeaters since the 1977–78 Yankees). This was only the second Series concluded by such a home run (the first was in the 1960 World Series on a Bill Mazeroski home run for the Pittsburgh Pirates), and the first such occasion where a come-from-behind walk-off home run won a World Series.
Presented here is the prize of winning the World Series, a breathtaking 14k Gold championship ring awarded to Cito Gaston
Please NOTE: We're not aware of any salesman sample rings being made by Tiffany for the 1993 World Series. We believe that this may have been a backup ring ordered for Cito Gaston for a family member or for a member of the front office staff. This is the same exact ring that Manager Cito Gaston received except that this ring has CZs.
This size 11.25 ring is a treasure made of true beauty. The face depicts the Blue Jay color logo with bird’s eye depicted by a large and prominent CZ stone. The backdrop is a glistening field of 43 smaller CZs that is surrounded by the year 1993 and WORLD CHAMPIONS in raised lettering.
One of the ring's shanks features an elaborate American League design seated below the name below the raised lettered name of GASTON and his number 43. The other shank promininently displays TORONTO BLUE JAYS in raised gold lettering with the 1993 World Series logo below that reads "Back-to-Back 92-93."
Inside the band is the inscription, "Tiffany & Co. / 14K 585." Accompanied by its high quality original presentation box with the Tiffany and World Series logo. Ring weighs 37.4 grams and is in NR MT- MT condition. The box shows some wear, but overall EX. How many times do rings actually come up with their original display box?
