Barry Sanders was a Hall of Fame NFL running back who starred for the Detroit Lions from 1989 to 1998. Known for his electrifying speed, agility, and elusive running style, Sanders won the 1988 Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma State before earning NFL MVP honors in 1997. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his 10 seasons, finishing with 15,269 career rushing yards and 99 touchdowns. A 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time NFL rushing champion, Sanders is widely regarded as one of the greatest running backs in football history. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
