Bob Feller (D. 2010) was a legendary pitcher for the Cleveland Indians from 1936 to 1956. Known for his blazing fastball, he was an eight-time All-Star and led the American League in strikeouts seven times. Feller pitched three no-hitters and 12 one-hitters, setting records that stood for decades. He won the pitching Triple Crown in 1940 and helped the Indians secure a World Series title in 1948. A patriot, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, sacrificing four prime years of his career. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962, Feller remains an icon of the sport.
