Bob Lanier & Bob McAdoo Detroit Pistons 1980 Original TYPE 1 Photo

On September 6, 1979, the Pistons traded two first round draft picks to the Boston Celtics for future Hall of Famer, Bob McAdoo on who was on the downswing of his career.  The Pistons thought that they were going to contend for the NBA title, but things quickly fell apart (the team ended up going 16-66).

Fellow future Hall of Famer, Bob Lanier would be traded to Milwaukee Bucks mid-season on February 4, 1980 for Kent Benson and a 1980 1st round pick in the NBA draft.

Offered is an original TYPE 1 photo that measures 8x10 in size of Lanier and McAdoo tipping off in the beginning of 1980 during a Pistons practice.  They seem happy mainly because they didn’t have to actually play in a game that day.

Super rare to find these two future Hall of Famers together in Pistons uniforms.
