The SSPC (Sports Stars Publishing Company) baseball card set is known for producing cards during the 1970s.

The SSPC set is particularly famous for its 1975 release, which featured a large number of cards depicting Major League Baseball players.  The set contains 630 standard-sized cards.  The cards were known for their colorful images and were produced in 1975. 

SSPC cards were distributed in various ways, including packs and complete sets. Some collectors may remember purchasing complete sets, while others may have obtained individual cards through packs. The set was known for its’ simplistic design, but bright colorful images.  The company was pulled from the market due to legal issues.

Grich played as a second baseman and shortstop during his career. Known for his exceptional fielding skills and power hitting, he was a key player for the Orioles during the 1970s. Grich won four Gold Glove Awards (1973, 1974, 1975, 1976) for his outstanding defensive play at second base. He was selected to 6 All-Star games during his career with the orioles and the Angels. He won the Silver Slugger award in 1981 and was the AL Home Run Champion that year.  He is a member of the Orioles and the Angels Hall of Fames.

This photo was autographed in blue sharpie pen during Grich’s playing days.

Images used to produce baseball cards (especially Baseball Hall of Famers) are always in high demand.
