Bobby Layne Original 1950’s Detroit Lions Team Issued Photo Used for 1956 Topps Football Card

Bobby Layne played for 15 seasons in the National Football League. He played for the Chicago Bears in 1948, the New York Bulldogs in 1949, the Detroit Lions from 1950–1958, and the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1958–1962. He is a member of both the Pro and College Football Hall of Fame.
Offered is an original 8x10 photo issued by the Lions in the 1950’s that derives from the Sporting News Archives. Heavy creasing and a few pinholes. Nevertheless, this is a rare team issued photo. This was the image used by Topps for Bobby Layne's 1956 Topps football card.
